The international airport of Sochi, Krasnodar District. The largest hub of local and international airlines in the Southern Federal District of Russia. It serves Russia’s largest resort, and other gravitating territory and Abkhazia. Total permanent terrain population – 700,000.


The airport is on the 8th place for passenger traffic (3.1 million passengers). During the 2014 Winter Olympics airport capacity reached 3800 passengers per hour, which is fully compliant with the International Olympic Committee requirements. Sochi airport was able to provide 575 takeoff and landing operations per day during Olympic Games, which is comparable to the intensity of major airports around the World.
